Independence Day Parade and booth in Pleasant Hill Park

Please join us on Saturday, July 4th! You’ll have fun and show your support for the Pleasant Hill Library.

You can participate in the Fourth of July Parade by walking along with our FRIENDS OF THE PLEASANT HILL LIBRARY float. The float will host the 2015 Citizen of the Year, Katherine Bracken, riding along with 2015 Parade Grand Marshall and Pleasant Hill Senior Community Librarian, Patrick Remer. Everyone is welcome to join us and stroll the short parade route. It’s your chance to participate in this American home town tradition! Bring your family and friends. All generations welcome!

Details: Meet us at 8:30 am Saturday on Woodsworth Lane at Cleaveland Road. We are in division 1 (unit # 9). Please see the city’s website for more information.

Wear something “patriotic” or dress as your favorite story book character. The theme this year is “Celebrating America’s Story.” Don’t forget to bring water, wear a hat and sunscreen!

After the parade, please join us at our booth in Pleasant Hill Park to make origami creatures and learn about summer programs for children, teens and adults at the Library.

We look forward to seeing you on Saturday morning! Have a happy and safe July 4.

Happy Independence Day!
